Abstract
Previously little solicited, transitions have now become essential temporalities that accompany and guide adult life course. Present in our daily life spaces since one or two generations, they have changed in meaning: initially spatial, they have become temporal; previously ambivalent, currently coveted; once confined to childhood, now focused on adult life. Such metamorphoses invite us to understand the issues facing adult life course when organized around the transitional model.
