Abstract

Writing in different contexts and for diverse purposes is important for all students to be successful across content areas. Building on the work on genre studies, scholars have identified genres in the disciplines that are important for students to develop. We propose research questions that highlight this work and ask scholars and practitioners to go beyond specific content areas and academic levels.
