Abstract
This article introduces the analysis of technologic options of deploying modern communication options for remote data collection from heat and water meters. The analysis is based on real requirements, data, and capabilities of the energy supplier in east Bohemia. An optimal solution enabling more accurate assessment of system load, efficiency improvement of conducted data collections, and deploying data transfer to eliminate faulty human factor during physically conducted meter readings, are suggested to the energy supplier based on the data.
