This article shows how women were represented in a particular comic book, the most important for more than a decade, geared towards children and young people, which circulated in Chile between 1949 and 1965. Many prominent models of femininity are studied. Some women play the role of the hero's companions or villains, while others assume a variety of leading roles. Throughout the period changes were observed in the way in which sensuality was expressed, as well as various forms of censorship.
