Abstract

Composite materials are of interest since many years as they are used in numerous engineering fields. Metal matrix composites are also studied from fabrication and analysis point of view. The aim of current report is to encompass the study areas of metal matrix composites so far developed. The study starts at fabrication of metal matrix composites followed by constituent elements and properties analysis. Various manufacturing processes are discussed. The frequently used constituent elements and their impact on properties are reported. It is observed that, there are still lot of opportunities available to carry out the research.
