Abstract

The impact of COVID-19 on different industries, markets, and segments of society has varied widely. Book publishers, on the whole, fared well in 2020, escaping many of the COVID-inflicted disruptions faced by several other sectors. In COVID-19 and Book Publishing: Impacts and Insights for 2021, three publishing industry consultants explore COVID-19′s effects on the U.S. book publishing market, including trade, K-12 and higher education, along with specific analyses of bookstores and libraries.
