Abstract

The growth of mammary carcinomas induced by DMBA in female rats was enhanced by high fat diets, but was generally suppressed by coconut oil diets. Such effects of the fat diets could not be induced by either hormonal or caloric factors, but only by specific metabolic lipid patterns in the breast cancers.
