Changes in the natural environment recorded in the sediments of the Karaśne lake-mire complex (Lublin Polesie, E Poland)

Abstract

This article presents results of multidisciplinary research which has been carried out in order to determine changes in the vegetation cover as well as changes in the structure of the Karaśne-mire complex in the Late Glacial and Holocene. In addition, human impact on the formation of the vegetation cover and the bio- and chronostratigraphy of the Late Glacial sediments is discussed.
