Abstract

Human activities are intrinsically linked with a potential for risks that can result in material damage, financial loss, physical injury, temporary or permanent loss of ability to perform tasks or even death. The business environment complexity associated with the instability of the global economic environment and how it has significantly impacted many organizations paved the renewed emphasis on risk management. Organizational changes can devise new strategic plans, and strategic risk management is used to identify, monitor and manage the risk associated with the change. This paper presents a literature review based on the ProKnow-C methodological process to analyze and understand the integration between risk management and strategy to explain strategic risk management.
