Abstract

Hemorrhoidal disease (HD) is a common anorectal disorder that affects at least 10 million people in the US, with a peak incidence in individuals between the ages of 45 and 65. This article discusses the signs, symptoms, risk factors, classification, treatment, and nursing interventions for patients with HD.
