Abstract

Diabetes is a chronic metabolic disease, prevalent all over the globe. The effective management of diabetes lies not only in proper medication and life-style modification through practice of yoga, but also on modification of nutrition and diet habit of the patient. As calorie intake is important in regulating metabolism, it is essential to know the quality and calorie value of each component of nutrients for diabetic patients to ensure their adequate and appropriate intake.
