Abstract
Women in society are often seen as weak and submissive to the rules. Women in conservative Saudi Arabia have limited movement and interaction. The big difference compared to other countries is the application of rules and culture that is treated based on sex and male guardianship laws. Thus, the cultural climate is deemed unfriendly for women. Moreover, Saudi Arabia's reputation is still poor in the area of gender equality. women's rights, seems to have been misinterpreted by Saudi Arabia as a policy maker. The interpretation of the Quran and hadith needs to be questioned if it is unfair to women. Now, Saudi women are starting to see a bright light for women. The crown prince, Prince Muhammad, has made great efforts to make major changes. Various changes, including gender equality, were carried out in an effort to present a moderate and friendly Islam. Saudi women have changed faces, starting to enjoy their rights and roles in the public sphere.
