Abstract

The hydrogeological character of the various provinces of Iran is treated in the following paper.The author puts emphasis on the combined influence of the climate, nature of rock and geological structure on the occurence, flow and quality of the groundwater and explains the difference and similarities between the hydrogeological regime of the different provinces.Four main and distinct hydrogeological provinces are described. © 1969 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
