Using Flexible Technologies Agile and Scrum for Managing Project Stakeholders

Abstract

The article considers the stakeholder approach to project management. The authors conduct a study to develop recommendations for improving the stakeholder approach in project-oriented companies. They examine the stakeholders management systems and methods of conducting projects and stakeholder loyalty programs in various IT companies. The information base of the research undertaken by the authors in a period spanning 2016 and 2017 is the data of a survey of experts-project managers of both large international IT companies and IT companies in Yekaterinburg. The authors put forward a hypothesis about the reasonableness of applying flexible management technologies-Agile-and Scrum-methods for managing stakeholders in project-oriented companies. Using the case study of an IT company, we verify and confirm the hypothesis on the effectiveness of Agile-methods for working with stakeholders. The case can be applied to develop a universal methodology for managing any stakeholder groups interested in project practice.
