Brief survey of modern theory of random processes addressed to workers in applied mechanics using random processes in their analyses; characterization of random processes, stationary and erodic processes, integration and differentiation of random processes, spectral analysis, Markov processes, Gaussian processes, point processes, threshold crossings, peaks and envelope of random processes.
