Abstract
Volume HRCT with low-dose settings represents - at least in Germany - the state-ofthe- art for diagnosis of occupational lung diseases. In order to avoid intolerable degradation of the resulting image quality a standardisation of acquisition and reconstruction parameters is essential. Board and members of "Arbeitsgemeinschaft Diagnostische Radiologie arbeits- und umweltbedingter Erkrankungen" (AG DRauE), a working community of the German Roentgen Society (DRG), have critically revised, modified and expanded their already existing recommendations. In this publication the results of this revision process are presented, accompanied by explanations of the underlying basic contexts. The aim of these recommendations is the greatest possible unification of examinations, regardless of the scanner model that was applied.
