Aplikasi Mobile Untuk Pencegahan Pencurian Kendaraan Menggunakan Protokol IEEE 802.11

According to Kapolri throughout 2017, curanmor action in the territory of Indonesia reached 28,623 cases. The high case of curanmor makes vehicle owners need to increase their vigilance and equip motor vehicles with additional security equipment. This study uses the IEEE 802.11 protocol as a WiFi transmitter mounted on the vehicle and the android application as the receiver of the emitted WiFi signal. The transmitter uses a mini WiFi router that has a frequency of 2.4 GHz, this device has WiFi signal coverage up to 24 meters. When there is an indication of a stolen motor vehicle, the vehicle will move away and the WiFi signal in the receiving android app will be smaller. The android app will alert the vehicle owner with an alarm notification. If it is true that curanmor, the owner of the vehicle can switch off the vehicle remotely using SMS (short message service) to be received by GSM shield circuit, then arduino will turn off vehicle ignition and turn on speaker alarm. Based on testing on the application, the use of the IEEE 802.11 protocol has a distance accuracy of 8 meters, better than similar research using GPS-based applications with accuracy of 9.25 meters distance.
