Abstract

The primary structure of the ovine prolactin molecule has been proposed, as shown in Fig. 13, by sequence analyses of cyanogen bromide fragments, tryptic and chymotryptic peptides of the hormone. The molecular weight of ovine LTH is calculated from the proposed structure to be 22,550, which is in good agreement with the experimental result obtained by osmometry. © 1970.
