Abstract

In this work, magnetic properties of double perovskite (DP) Sr2CoFeO6 have been studied using Monte Carlo simulations (MCS) in the framework of the Heisenberg model. The ground state of the phase diagrams depending on the exchange couplings and the crystal fields has been studied. Then, the magnetic properties of DP Sr2CoFeO6 have been investigated. Moreover, crystal field and magnetic field effects, and finite-size analysis of the magnetization and the susceptibility as a function of reduced temperature (T/J3) have been presented. In addition, the extracted critical exponents of double perovskite Sr2CoFeO6 are closer to those of the Heisenberg model. The reduced critical temperatures show a small increase with increasing system size, which consists of other theoretical results.
