Abstract
During the past 20 years, there has been an increasing number of published reports on the psychoanalytic treatment of children and adults who experienced maternal or patemal incest during their childhood or adolescence. Still, relatively few authors seem to concern themselves with reports of such psychoanalyses. In the main, they have been Shengold (1967, 1974, 1979, 1980), who reported physical, sexual, and psychological abuse by parents as "soul murder" of their children; Margolis (1977, 1984), who wrote about consummated incest in an adolescent male; Silber (1979); and Kramer (1974, 1980, 1985, 1987), who wrote about maternal incest and its treatment.
