Abstract
This study describes the requirements for auditing digital object management based on the Audit and Certification of Trustworthy Digital Repositories. Foro this, it deals with questions related to content acquisition, creation of the archival information package, planning, maintenance of digital objects, information management and access management. The discussion follows the deductive logic, so that triangulation is performed to analyze the management of digital objects, to contextualize it in the field of Archival Science, and to identify the essential assumptions for a trustworthy digital archival repository. Among the main elements to be observed are the identification and maintenance of significant properties to strengthen the presumption of authenticity, and the recording of all actions taken on the documentation through metadata. Finally, it reinforces the need for Archival Science to appropriate itself of themes related to systemic preservation.
