Abstract

When designing the controller to improve the performance of the system, energy consumption are often neglected. Therefore we use the LQR control method to add energy considerations to the objective function to optimize the performance of the system. In this paper, an optimal control algorithm is proposed for Electro-Hydraulic Actuator (EHA) system. Firstly EHA system is modelled by bond-graph methodology. Then, design the controller to improve both the performance and efficiency of EHA system. The simulation results verify the optimization and stability of system by the optimal controller.
