Abstract

The The research employed a case study method, with a museology approach, especially examining new museums, cultural identity, and exhibits. The conclusion in this research was the lack of information in the La Galigo exhibition due to the lack of research of the significance of the La Galigo for various ethnic groups, the unity between them, the collective memory of the society, and the relevance of the La Galigo story to the present. The development of the La Galigo storyline, which not only describes the La Galigo manuscript itself, but links it to other collections and represents the cultural identity of South Sulawesi, is needed.
