Abstract

Studied the effect of aging stress on mental health and formal and informal support roles using an aging stress support model. Human Ss: 67 normal male and female Japanese old adults (mean age 79.5 yrs) (married or widowed) (living independently) (Meals on Wheels clients). During a home visit, Ss were interviewed about their social support system, subjective well-being, physical and mental health, and level of loneliness.
