Abstract

Novel antioxidants, 5-(3,4-dihydroxyphenylmethyl)oxazolidine-2,4-dione (1) and 3-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)lactamide (2), have been isolated from roasted perilla seed. Compound 1 was the first example of non-synthetic oxazolidinedione. © 1995, The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan. All rights reserved.
