Abstract

During 2005-2007, 75 species of the freshwater testate amoebae were found in the vicinities of Lenkoran (SE Azerbaijan). The morphology of 14 species is described. One genus and 3 species are new to science (Difflugia pisciformis sp.n., D. pseudoclaviformis sp.n., Lenkorania gen.n., Pseudodifflugia magna sp.n.). Eleven species are new for the fauna of the Caucasus and Azerbaijan. © TÜBİTAK.
