Abstract

The article discusses the role of dental professionals in detecting and treating oral cancer. It stresses the responsibility of dental professionals in exceeding beyond examination of the periodontium and dentition to detect easily and treat oral cancer. Moreover, it provides tips on how dental professionals may improve survival rates and quality life of patients including the evaluation of patients' medical history and the promotion of oral care.
