Abstract

Dizziness is considered one of the most prevalent symptoms in medicine and is the main symptom of labyrinth dysfunction. In this paper, clinical aspects of the most prevalent labyrinth diseases are reviewed. The main differential diagnoses are presented. The therapeutic options are also described and include etiologic treatment, correction of habits harmful to the vestibular system, drugs, vestibular rehabilitation exercises, psychotherapy and surgical procedures in specific cases.
