Abstract
The discussion focuses on racial equality policies affirmative action developed in Brazil Argentina. It analyses the context of racial relations in both countries with the construction of white hegemony restrictions on citizenship for Afro-descendant populations. It discusses the forms of affirmative action for the Afro-descendant population carried out in the two countries. In Brazil it discusses general results of affirmative actions derived from the teaching of African afro-Brazilian history culture defined by the LDB affirmative actions developed in higher education. In Argentina it reflects on two chairs aimed at Afro-descendant populations. It discusses the points of convergence the particularities of race relations affirmative action in both countries.
