What about linear logic in computer science?

Abstract

In this paper we discuss several useful features of linear logic especially from the viewpoint of computing science. We start with a short overview of linear logic with an emphasis on the special properties of linear implication and exponential operators. We present our idea of the possible fragmentation of linear logic and the usefulness of particular fragments in various areas of computing science. Finally, we consider possible extensions of linear logic and we illustrate how an extension with epistemic operators can serve for obtaining knowledge and belief about an intrusion attempt.
