Abstract

An essay is presented which examines the suggestions that tutors might consider when they have writing consultations with Chinese English Language Learners (ELL) students. It highlights the benefits of effective writing partnership to tutors and writers because it focuses on individual papers and long-term development. It concludes that transparency, understanding, and directness between students and tutors can influence the success of writing partnerships.
