Escribir la imagen: La literatura a través de la écffrasis

Abstract

The aim of this work is to develop a de-disciplinary theoretical method, which goes beyond than a comparison between images and discourse when approaching the relation between literature and image. We will go through the concept of ekphrasis to historicize the dialectic between word and image, since ancient culture to the current intermediate context. At last, we will set the theoretical basis for the formation of a later model, which exposes the hybrid nature of verbal and visual relations, with neologisms such as imagetext, phrase-image or icontext.
