Abstract

Angular-spectrum representation of wave fields shown to yield Helmholtz-equation solutions for obtaining several important properties of source-free wave fields; derivation of series- mode expansion for source-free fields in terms of boundary value; series are used to derive two angular-spectrum representations for wave fields in extended class and to discuss their properties.
