Abstract

The amount of money in circulation is a quite significant element in the economic condition of a country, namely its relationship with the inflation rate. Changes in the money supply are determined by the results of interactions between society, financial institutions and the central bank. The problem in this research is how the money supply influences inflation in Indonesia in the period 2014 to 2023. This data was obtained from the results of Bank Indonesia publications in the last ten years. The aim of this research is to measure the impact of the money supply on inflation in Indonesia over the last decade. The data collection method used in this research is a secondary data collection method where data is obtained directly from Bank Indonesia publications, and a simple regression analysis method is used as the data analysis method. The results of this research show that the large amount of currency in circulation during the 2014-2023 period has a positive and significant influence on the inflation rate.
