Abstract

This essay seeks to develop a critical interpretation on the Historia cronológica de la Noble Ciudad de Tlaxcala (1692) written by Juan Buenaventura Zapata y Mendoza. To this purpose I will identify its central contents and underline specifically those related to the events of the conquest of Mexico.
