Abstract

As a general rule, historians have viewed the Palestine-Israel question as a conflict between two peoples contesting the same territory. Frequently, the interpretive axis has focused on military occupation and post-1967 «endo-colonialization». In a like manner, the processes that occurred before have been relegated to a subsidiary consideration. All the same, the interpretation of Israel-Palestine as an issue of settler colonialism is increasingly gaining ground in academic circles. It is necessary to provide more critical, open, complex and nuanced perspectives to the debate on settler colonialism in Palestine-Israel. This question was and remains periodically at the centre of the diplomatic agendas, media concerns and international politics.
