Abstract
Bronchopneumonia is inflammation of the lungs that affects one or more lobes of the lungs characterized bypatches of infiltrates are caused by bacteria, viruses and mold. This disease in developing countries nearly30% in children under 5 years with a high risk of death. The research aim was to describe the use ofantibiotics in pediatric patients with a diagnosis of bronchopneumonia at Raden Mattaher Jambi Hospitalconsisting of aspects of the right dose, the right indication, the right patient, the right time interval and theright duration of antibiotic use. This research method is descriptive with retrospective data retrieval of themedical records of bronchopneumonia patients who meet the inclusion criteria. The results of this study foundthat 34 bronchopneumonia patients generally had rational parameters in the right dose (82.35%), rightindication (100%), right patient (100%), and right time interval of administration (100%).
