Abstract

N. Zhao and coworkers demonstrate, on page 1178, a low-power, wearable sensor system that integrates a flexible piezoresistive sensor and epidermal electrocardiogram sensors, for extracting real-time beat-to-beat blood pressure measurements. Through parametric modelling and operation optimization, highly stable epidermal pulse monitoring is achieved, and the compromise between sensor sensitivity and signal stability is highlighted.
