Abstract
BaCO3 nanorods have been successfully prepared by the microwave-assisted method at 90 °C using Ba(NC3)2 and (NH4)2CO3 in the presence of NaOH or hexamethylenetetramine ((CH2)6N4) in ethylene glycol. The heating time and type of alkali played an important role in the size and morphology of BaCO3. Copyright © 2006 The Chemical Society of Japan.
