Abstract

Neutron personal dosimetry is necessary for the monitoring of exposed workers, not only in nuclear industry and related activities but also in the growing number of neutron producing facilities, so new techniques and devices are continuously developed and improved. This article provides a review of the present state-of-the-art as well as the main new results and innovative developments in neutron personal dosimetry using electronic personal dosimeters (EPDs), track dosimeters (etched track dosimeters, FNTD), luminescent dosimeters (TL, OSL, RPL), superheated drop dosimeters and direct ion storage (DIS) dosimeters.
