Abstract

A The aim of the following research is to analyze from a political and pedagogical perspective, the impact and implications of the emergence and implementation of MOOCs in higher education. We particularly place the focus of this analysis on the function these courses play in the mediation between subjects and teaching-learning proposals in the learning context. In that sense, we have established a series of categories in order to analyze and explain what is occurring in the mentioned learning space, as well as relate to policies that are promoting the use of MOOCs. Lastly, after posing unresolved issues we point out from a critical and prospective manner some of the indicators to have in mind in the contemporary pedagogy.
