Abstract

Pd and Pt complexes having a pincer ligand with thioamide units were prepared and investigated for photoluminescent material. The intensity of photoluminescence depends on a choice of a ligand on the metal center and structure of the pincer ligand. Light-emitting diodes using the complexes as an emitting layer showed red or reddish orange electroluminescence. ©2008CPST.
