Abstract
We introduce NieNie, an immersive stress relief system that uses rhythmic squeezing and adaptive, emotionally resonant instruction to facilitate emotional self-regulation. Designed specifically to alleviate the daily stress experienced by college students, NieNie continuously monitors physiological signals such as heart rate variability and skin conductance, and responds through dynamic rhythmic guidance and language support generated by a large language model (LLM). In contrast to conventional stress-relief apps that rely on passive content or static scripts, NieNie embeds personalized, emotionally attuned feedback.
