Abstract

The influence of Nd magnetic impurities on the spin dynamics of CeCoIn 5 was studied by inelastic neutron scattering. In the Nd-substituted compound Ce0.95Nd0.05CoIn5, the spin resonance peak (observed at Ωres = 0.55 meV in the pure system) is shifted to lower energies but the ratio Ωres/k BTc remains almost unchanged. These observations are compared with non-magnetic La-substitution.
