Abstract

This paper presents some results of a case study, where we intend to identify the role of tutors in communicative processes, and their contribution to improve the meaningful learning through an accurate analysis of the content posted in discussion forums tools in a Virtual Learning Environment, used for communication and feedback to the students. The research analyzed the participation of teachers and tutors in six disciplines of a distance learning technical course in food agricultural college. As result of the research, it concludes that the discussion forum is very important to improve experience interchange, significant reflection and social construction of knowledge.
