Abstract

In this paper the author attempts a first approach to the interpretation of data provided by neolithic settlements in the Iberian Peninsida from the point of view of cultural, economic and social change processes, under the light of anthropological theories, but taking as a basis the archaeological record without being unaware of the limitations it imposes. In this way are studied the passage from the previous huntergatherer societies, the economic developments and the specialization degree apparently reached at the end of the period and the transition to Copper Age.
