Abstract

Numerical investigation of the turbulent jet flows, both central and annular type of jets has been carried out with the introduction of swirl at the inlet using the modified ε κ − model. It was observed that the recirculation bubble generated by the central jet without swirl diminishes in size due to increase in swirl number, while in the case of annular jet the recirculation bubble size grows gradually by the same.
