Abstract

Organizational commitment is a psychological construct which is the characteristic of peer relationship with the organization and have the implication toward individual decisions to continue their membership in the organization (Meyer & Allen, 1991). Organizational commitment consist of 3 dimensions: affective commitment, normative organization, and continuance commitment. Standard instrument that used to measure the 3 dimension of organizational commitment is the aspect of organizational commitment from Allen and Meyer (1990). The objective of this research is to test the construct validity of the instrument. The data of this research collected from 216 high school teachers in Bekasi. Confirmatory factor analysis method was used with LISREL 8.70. The results showed that all 24 items is unidimensional. That means, all the items just measure one factor, so the one factor model that have been theorized by Allen and Meyer (1990) can be accepted. Abstrak Komitmen
