Abstract
Hydrogen release behavior from perovskite proton conducting oxide, yttrium doped barium-zirconate, BaZr0.9Y0.1O3-α (BZY) exposed to D2 or D2O atmosphere was studied by thermal desorption spectroscopy (TDS) detecting deuterium gas (D2) and heavy water vapor (D2O) separately. The release of hydrogen appeared at around 950-1175 K. Hydrogen solubility was higher in the BZY sample exposed to the D2O.
