Measurements on air porosity of sea ice.

Abstract

The vertical profile of air porosity was obtained for first-year sea ice in the Arctic. The results were in good agreement with estimations of porosity made from density values measured for the same samples. This indicates that the bubble pressure is near one atmospheric pressure. -from Author
